Well, we have made it to week three of the ONE ROOM CHALLENGE!
During week three I went to select my floor tiles. I had an idea in mind that I wanted a darker charcoal floors but for a second considered the floors in the photo above. That's Moe with me, manager of The Tile Shop and he is amazing.
However, I came to my senses and went back to my original idea of darker floors. Since the wallpaper is so whimsical, I believe the darker floors give it a more sophisticated pop of contrast to the room.

Finally, I landed on this bad boy and I couldn't be happier.

I just love the sharp lines of the hexagon-shaped tile paired with the organic fluid wallpaper. Isn't the Benjamin Moore color "New Hope Gray" just the perfect choice to pair with the wallpaper?
The next course of action was to get my crew out to lay these pretty floors.
Tada! it might not look like much now... but trust me on this. It will all come together. I hope haha.
What do you think of my makeshift contraption to keep my kiddos off the floors as the grout dries? Aubrey loves checking out the changes as they are made. She said the floors are so beautiful. Thanks, little lady. I agree.
She's pretty excited about these floors and I am too. Now that those are in, I need to get my CABINETS MADE! WHOOO HOOO I can almost see the finish line. I never imagined I would be excited to do laundry again, but frankly, I cannot wait to get them out of the hallway so we can use the garage door again!
Here is my amazing carpenter drafting up the correct dimensions based on the CAD drawing I had made. Next week you should see some major progress! I can't wait!
